2013/2014 Japanese film directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, 120 minutes.  Free and open to the public.

Synopsis:  A father faces a tough decision after learning that his son is not his own due to a hospital error. Forced to choose between raising his biological child or the one he has reared since birth, he begins to question everything he knows about fatherhood.

The film screening will be followed by an audience Q&A session with Stanford Japanese lecturer Natalia Konstantinovskaia regarding the movie, Japanese culture and language, and more.

This film is part of the annual Stanford Global Studies Summer Film Festival running most Wednesdays from June 13 to September 12.
