Join the Muslim Students Union on Saturday, April 8th from 7-9 pm in Memorial Church for a benefit concert in support of the global refugee crisis, with the help of the Markaz: Resource Center, the Office of Religious Life, the Iranian Studies Program, the Haas Center for Public Service, the Arab Students Association, the Bechtel International Center, and the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies.  This eclectic student showcase will feature the voices and talents of the Stanford community, united to raise awareness of communities displaced by war, famine and other humanitarian disasters.

Facilitated by poet Farhan Kathawala from the Spoken Word Collective, the concert program will include performances by Talisman, Stanford's acclaimed a cappella group, and the ten-piece Stanford Middle East Ensemble, who bring a spirited blend of traditional and classical music from Egypt, Syria, Iran and Turkey to the stage. Individual student performers will share music, dance, comedy, and poetry.

All proceeds from this event will go to the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an organization that works to help those affected by humanitarian crises around the globe.
