About the event

How does one build a scholarly and writing career outside the academy? What is the line between scholarly and popular literature and scholarship?

Come join us for an informal conversation over lunch with the prolific and renowned author, scholar, and translator,  Rana Safvi. From a translation of Sayyid Ahmad Khan’s Asār-us Sanadīd (The Remains of the Past) and Zahir Delhvi’s Dāstān-e Ġhadar: The Tale of the Mutiny, to a novel on the Insurrection of 1857, a book on Sufism in India and a series of books on historic Delhi, Safvi has showcased the depth and diversity of India’s history and traditions.
