Reza Allamehzadeh is a prominent Iranian-born Dutch filmmaker, film critic, and writer. We are pleased to announce that he has just donated his entire film archive to Stanford University. This collection includes dozens of hours of never seen interviews with some of Iran’s most important modern figures including the Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi, the poet Simin Behbahani, the prominent writer Ali-ashraf Darvishian, and Maurice Capithorne and Ahmad Shahid (two UN special rapporteurs for human rights in Iran).
Join us as Mr. Allamehzadeh screens three of his short feature films: The Witness, The Trap, and A Few Simple Sentences.
Discussion is in English and films are subtitled in English
