Dr. Touraj Daryaee is Maseeh Chair in Persian Studies and the Director of the Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at the University of California, Irvine. His work focuses on ancient Iran and its history and culture. He will discuss the cultural and ideological aspects that came with the name of Iran and Iranshahr in antiquity.
